Overview

This includes managing health and safety risks and work area hazards through consultative procedures. This leads to higher awareness and participation of OHS issues in the workplace culminating in increased safety and reduced accidents in the workplace and therefore a better and higher. 'Implement and Monitor Participative Arrangements for the Management of OHS' is the second course (of six) in the unit 'Monitor a Safe Workplace'.

Objectives

On completion of this course you will:
1. Ensure that the importance of effective consultative mechanisms in managing health and safety risks are explained.
2. Ensure that consultative procedures are implemented and monitored to facilitate participation of work group in management of work area hazards.
3. Ensure that issues raised through consultation are promptly dealt with in accordance with consultation procedures.
4. Ensure that the outcomes of consultation over Occupational Health and Safety issues are recorded and communicated promptly to the work group.
